We are currently seeking Assemblers for 2nd shift who will assemble and inspect product in accordance with established procedures and standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned:
Assembles assigned product parts on assembly line in accordance with established procedures, standards and blueprint production; Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners; Disassembles, re-works or salvages scrap parts; Operates drill presses, hand drills, clicker press or riveting machines to assist in assembly operation. May operate forklift upon completing certification requirements.
Performs spot checks of products to ensure adherence to approved quality standards; Removes small quantities of metal to produce a smooth finish.
Inspects product for quality defects including but not limited to: missing brackets, damaged brackets, incorrect artwork, screw gauges, etc.
Adheres to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations; Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with safety and training guidelines.
Helps train new employees as required.
Successful candidate will possess:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Prior assembly experience preferred but not required
Strong attention to detail
Experience using inspection gauges such as dial calipers and reading/interpreting blue prints
